What residents say
Volta has a reputation for being one of the more sociable mid-range complexes on Broadway. The coffee bar and Wi-Fi café area means you can work from "home" without ever leaving the building, and the bocce ball court and putting green are exactly the kind of low-key socialising spots that make a complex feel like more than just a place to sleep. The pool area is well-designed and has real character compared to the typical rectangular pool setup. Being a Decron property means the management tends to be organised and processes are generally straightforward. The location between multiple highways sounds like it could mean noise, but practically speaking it means getting anywhere in the Phoenix metro is very easy. A solid all-round option for students and young professionals who want variety in their everyday environment.

We have lived here for two years and really like it! Maintenance is usually swift and the pool is very nice and well taken care of. We recently switched apartments within the complex to move to a bigger unit and everyone made the process very easy. Tay in the front office is very friendly and helpful and even got us back some items we accidentally left in our old apartment when we moved.

The houses are very spacious and warm. The staff aka Rebecca and Tay at the leasing office are friendly and very helpful and maintainance is also quick. While there is some cockroach issues, but it can be managed with cleanliness. But what makes me give 2 stars are the amenities. While the pool area is top notch, the lounge area shuts down at 6pm along with the leasing office. To get access to the lounge area beyond those hours, you need to pay and book it. For students who are at University the whole day and get free time only in the evening and on Sundays, you will rarely find the lounge accessible. The two washrooms of the study area are staff only. Meaning if you are in the study room or at the pool and want to visit the washroom, your only option is to walk home and then come back which is one of the reasons why I refuse to use the public pool at Volta. However, the pool area is beautiful to sit at. The gym has a broken cable machine which hasn't been fixed for a while and one 35lb dumbbell is also missing. The gym washroom is permanently closed which again means you cannot afford to consume lots of water while working out. If you need to visit the washroom, you'll have to walk to your apartment and come back. I'll suggest SDFC if you wish to work out rather than the gym. However, the location is prime since you can get MARS to travel to university, while having Safeway nearby which is open till 11pm in the night. Despite the issues with amenities, I would still recommend leasing an apartment in here if you're coming to ASU as a student but only if you plan to stay in your room the whole day. If you're coming with friends and wish to hang out in the lounge or the pool for long time, then Hyve, Piedmont or San Marbeya would be ideal since they have excellent amenities and washrooms near those said amenities.

We've been staying at Volta for the past year and have had a great experience. Tay and Rebecca are always there to help us out. Most recently, we had a problem with a rent payment due to an account mismatch. They helped us navigate what would have been an otherwise stressful situation. It's wonderful having them here and we're always met with a smile and great service.

I had a really great leasing experience at Volta on Broadway! The team was super friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with from start to finish. They answered all of my questions quickly and made the whole process feel simple and stress free, especially as a first time renter. Everyone was very accommodating with scheduling and move-in details, and I always felt supported throughout the process. It honestly made a big difference having a team that was so organized and responsive- Thank you to Del'Monta, Elizabeth, and Rebecca.
