About this complex

Large, resort-feel community at 1500 E Broadway Rd with four pools open 24/7, three jacuzzis, a 24-hour fitness center with a sauna, a putting green, sand volleyball court, and a full soccer field - an unusually wide range of outdoor amenities for a Tempe complex. Two dedicated dog parks and monthly on-site food truck events round out the social side. Studio to 2-bedroom units feature granite countertops, hardwood-style floors, stainless appliances, and in-unit laundry. At $972–$1,532/month, it's one of the more affordable options on the Broadway corridor. Managed by Western Wealth Communities.

Community notes

Onnix has a lot going for it in terms of sheer amenity count. Four pools that are actually open around the clock, a proper sauna, and a soccer field are genuinely rare at this price point. The monthly food trucks and community events help residents get to know each other, and the two dog parks make it one of the more pet-friendly complexes in the area. The Broadway location is close to ASU but not on the main Apache student corridor, so the crowd here tends to be a mix of students and young working adults rather than purely student-focused. Worth factoring in if you want a slightly calmer environment while still being close to campus. On-site laundry is modern and convenient.

So I never got to become a resident. I did a rental application and paid 50$ for the deposit. Because there offer (during there slow season) seemed good. Just to be told by them that I have to be removed from my other apartment I was moving from lease. Even tho make high salary at my insurance job. They did a background check and allowed this to be a deciding factor to make me wait. Who in the renting world really cares??? If you actually need renters that has to be the dumbest standard to use. Do not apply here. Use chatgpt and give the criteria your looking for in an apartment to find a better option, because this one literally wasted a month of my time. Literally found one down the same street that got me into apartment in 2 weeks, just as good quality.

Thought I’d feed off a recent review posting screenshots of emails about the water shut off problem with some of my own from when my wife and I first moved in. We lived here from April to January so not even a full year and got 50+ emails about them shutting off the water. It would happen all the time and would be off ALL day then take hours for the water heaters to supply hot water again. To pay so much money to live here and not even have access to water a huge majority of the time is insane. When we moved in, there was also a major roach problem. We put in several requests for pest control for it to still be pretty bad until the day we moved out. We had severe problems with our upstairs neighbors being extremely loud by leaving a howling dog outside and banging so hard on the floor that the glass encasing from our light fixture fell and shattered while we were home. It took the office MONTHS to do anything about it even though we reached out consistently with a paper trail saying this sort of noise was not okay and constantly disturbing our right to quiet enjoyment at all hours (including putting us in danger when that glass fell off- what if it hit us? They did not care at all). This apartment was quite frankly the worst apartment we have ever lived in. They charge way too much to have the problems they do & they also never ever answer the phone so don’t even bother calling if you want a resolution. They also wouldn’t answer several emails until finally we went in and requested to speak directly to the property manager Megan & she looked for the emails and basically said oops yeah that went overlooked. I’ll say the pros were maintenance was super nice & extremely timely- would come usually the day after we put in a request, but they would make a mess and never clean it up. Rosie (in the office) was definitely the best of all this because she was cool, nice, and tried super hard to make it work when we were in a rush to get into somewhere asap. She was the most understanding when it came to our grievances, but there wasn’t a lot she could do other than tell higher ups. She should work somewhere with less problems.
